Mel’s Monday Musings: June 28, 2021

Hi, y’all! What’s new?

It’s been a good week here and it’s only Monday! Yesterday, I became the newest artist at a really cool gallery in a riverfront town not far from here. I have more paintings to frame and drop off on Wednesday, and my first “gallery-sitting” shift (staffed w/volunteer artists) is Friday evening. I can’t wait!

We had our first ‘official’ swim day today in the pool. That water was COLD! (72F — comfortable is more like 78-80) Still, it was really nice to not be hot for a while! I feel so bad for people in the Pacific Northwest right now, dealing with some seriously hellish temperatures! It’s very warm here but even though many places don’t have a/c, it’s not dangerously hot like it is out West right now.

Old friendships renewed, new friendships in the making, pretty lilies all over my yard (can’t bring them inside because they’re highly toxic to cats, so I just admire them outdoors)…life is good, and I hope you can say the same. 🙂

A recent painting of mine that I thought came out well, just because:

Have a good week!
