Prometheanne: Teaser Poem #3

Note: This poem is for mature audiences. If erotic poetry isn’t your thing, feel free to skip (and in the book, all of those are corralled into the middle section — Eros and Inanna — so people who prefer not to read that type of poem can easily avoid them).

i am unbridled fire, riding rough
and careless, but in one well-timed stroke
my wildness submits to the asking in your eyes.

there’s a gravity and a lightness i never knew —
teach me the language of lightning unbound;
plumb the depths of slow and aching joy.
