Mel’s Monday Musings: November 15, 2021

Hi, y’all!

Almost to the place where I can catch my breath a little…so close!

In the meantime, here’s a poem I don’t think I’ve shared here yet. 🙂 Be well, y’all.

mer-mare

i am displaced water, patiently
awaiting my return to the sea,
to the long sweet falling
and the flood that follows.
fist your hands in my wild mane
in the sacred mellow wolf-light
easing the day to rest; ride me
hard across the landscape of love
until we are foam-flecked and trembling.
every tendon yearns for this.
we pour worlds into kaleidoscopic days
and fields of starlight fill the valleys between,
lustrous midnights bequeathed to diamond hearts.
