Hi, y’all! Did you have a good weekend?
We did; yesterday we celebrated my oldest child’s FIFTEENTH birthday!! Where does the time go??
Other news: I’m working on getting my Etsy shop up and running again after spending my mask-making time with it in Vacation Mode; I want to list my pendants and chainmaille bracelets. Any other art will come along later, but I’m trying to run with a narrower focus for each new batch of listings to gauge response and see where I need to be with all of this right now.
The kids’ last day of school is this Thursday! Thank goodness; we’re all ready for summer vacation to begin in earnest.
I’m still working on my major craft room overhaul…*might* share pics when it’s done. Maybe. (if it is ever done, haha)
We got our first strawberries of the season yesterday and today! We’ll be at the “check every day” stage for a while now; the plants from last year are weighed down with strawberries. Then there will be what looks like a week or so of a lull before the new plants give us even more strawberries. All of them are the same variety whose name I can’t recall offhand, small and wickedly sweet.
I’m also looking into possibly doing a bit of honest-to-goodness chaos gardening next year. It seems to be simple and to produce quite a bounty for most who give it a go! (It’s also giving me peace to have a small stash of seeds packaged for “whenever” right now, not gonna lie. I’m not an alarmist, but reasonable preparation is good.)
So how are you? Are you also a tangle of mixed emotions about the various Supreme Court rulings and decisions today? (To grossly oversimplify the two that grabbed my full attention: YAY on the LGBTQ+ front; BOO to the SCOTUS not reexamining qualified immunity.)
