I mislike the term “branding” applied to people. Businesses? Sure, let’s talk branding. But people? Your personal branding? It sounds like we’re all cows awaiting a burning mark. (I’m not down with that, either.)
Anyway…I’ve had a lot of irons in the fire lately, and I don’t see that changing. However, I’ve been trying to figure out where my base of operations should be, and what matters most in the slew of projects I have going forward. My Etsy shop is gone and one of my writing projects is on hold, but even so, I have plenty to keep me busy and an exciting new idea as well. (The life of a creative person…there’s always something new on the horizon!)
So here I am. Melstery is home. I don’t believe in putting all of one’s eggs in a single basket, so I’m still developing another site to address another vital aspect of “what I do,” but Melstery is where I have unreservedly and unapologetically said, “This is me, independent of anyone or anything else, and I’m worth reading about. My life is going places.”
